2021 Mercedes Benz GLA launched in India at a cost of Rs 42 lakh

Mercedes Benz GLA launch: Mercedes Benz has launched its 2021 GLA SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 42.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in four models: 200 progressive lines, 220d progressive line, 220d 4MATIC AMG line, and AMG GLA 35 4MATIC.

The car has a sporty look, a cabin with many new features, and is offered with petrol and diesel engines.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA looks larger than its predecessors and features an ORVM with a wide grille system with sloping roofline, bonnet, chrome studs, taillights, black cladding and indicators.

Top of the four models, the AMG GLA 35 features a pan-Americana grille with vertical slates, larger wheels, dual tailpipes, a spoiler fitted to the roof and the ‘GLA 35’ and ‘AMG’ badge on the rear.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA features a spacious cabin with a large sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, front seats with memory function, wireless charger, multiple airbags and a multifunctional steering wheel.

It features a 10.25-inch touchscreen MBUX infotainment console with support for the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The MBUX system also supports ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice commands.

The 021 Mercedes-Benz GLA is powered by a 1.3-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine capable of producing 163 HP / 250 Nm of torque and the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel motor produces 190 HP / 400 Nm.

The AMG GLA 35 is powered by a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 306 HP / 400 Nm of torque.

A 7-speed DCT or 8-speed DCT gearbox, front-wheel drive or all-wheel-drive system takes care of the car’s transmission duties.

The 2021 Mercedes Benz GLA 200 progressive line model is priced at Rs 42.1 lakh and the 220d progressive line model is priced at Rs 43.7 lakh.
The 220d 4MATIC AMG line and AMG GLA 35 4MATIC model are priced at Rs 46.7 lakh and Rs 57.3 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) respectively.

Significantly, all of the above prices are introductory prices. Prices may increase from July 1 to Rs 1.5 lakh.
