Petrol and diesel prices: There was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel on Wednesday. Before this, their prices had increased for 2 consecutive days. According to the website of leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol remained stable at a record level of Rs 94.49 and diesel Rs 85.38 per liter in the national capital on Wednesday.
From May 4 till now, their prices have been increased for 17 days, while there has been no change in the prices for the remaining 13 days. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 4.09 and diesel by Rs 4.65 in Delhi during this period.
The prices of both the fossil fuels remained unchanged in other metropolitan cities as well. Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai petrol sold at Rs 100.72, Rs 94.50, and Rs 95.99 per liter respectively.
The price of 1 liter of diesel was Rs 92.69 in Mumbai, Rs 90.12 in Chennai, and Rs 88.23 in Kolkata.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
