Petroleum companies hiked petrol and diesel prices for the 11th consecutive day on Friday. In Delhi, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs 90 and diesel by Rs 80. In Mumbai, simple petrol has gone close to Rs 97. Meanwhile, the number of cities where petrol has crossed hundreds has increased today.

Petroleum companies continue to be hit by fuel price hikes. Today, petrol has gone up by 31 paise and diesel by 33 paise across the country. Rising fuel prices are likely to push up inflation soon.

In Mumbai, petrol reached Rs 96.62. On Thursday, oil companies had hiked petrol prices by 34 paise and diesel by 32 paise. In Mumbai, consumers will now have to pay Rs 87.67 for a liter of diesel. The highest price of petrol in the state is Rs 98 in Parbhani.

In Delhi, a liter of petrol costs Rs 90.19 today. Diesel is priced at Rs 80.60. In Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs 92.29 today. Diesel is priced at Rs 85.66. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs 91.42 today. Diesel is priced at Rs 83.69. In Bangalore, petrol is priced at Rs 93.20 and diesel at Rs 85.41.

In Rajasthan’s Shri Ganganagar district, petrol had reached 100 on Wednesday. For the first time in the country, petrol had gone up to Rs 100. Today, the price of petrol in Shri Ganganagar district is 100. 13 paise and diesel 92.13 paise. After that, today in Annupur in Madhya Pradesh, simple petrol has gone up to Rs 100. In Anantapur, petrol is priced at Rs 100.25 and diesel at Rs 90.35. Earlier, premium petrol (XP) went up to Rs 100 in Parbhani in Maharashtra and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, global crude oil prices today crossed the डॉलर 65 levels. Brent crude is trading at डॉलर 65. It grew by 1.8 percent. This is the highest rate in the last 13 months. Earlier, on January 21, 2020, Brent crude was trading at डॉलर 65 a barrel
