Oxygen crisis in Karnataka: In Karnataka Chamarajanagar A major disaster struck the district hospital on Monday. A total of 24 patients have lost their lives in the last 24 hours due to lack of oxygen and other reasons. Patients who have lost their lives include those with coronary heart disease as well as other patients. It is understood that all the patients who died were on ventilators.

Notably, this is the second case in Karnataka where patients have lost their lives due to lack of oxygen. Also on Saturday, 12 patients died due to a lack of oxygen in the state.

Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa also took note of this shocking incident in Chamarajanagar. He contacted the district collector regarding the incident. The Chief Minister has called an emergency meeting tomorrow (Tuesday).

As many as 37,733 crore patients were found in Karnataka on Sunday, bringing the total number of patients in the state to over 16 lakh. After the death of 217 patients on Sunday, the number of patients who lost their lives in the state has reached 16,011. At present a total of 4 lakh 21 thousand 436 infected patients are undergoing treatment in the state. On the other hand, 11 lakh 64 thousand 398 patients have overcome corona.
