Puducherry: CM Narayanasamy accuses BJP of running Operation Lotus

CM V Narayanasamy said the resignations of four MLAs, including Malladi Krishna Rao and John Kumar, have not yet been accepted. The Speaker is still considering them. He has accused the BJP of running Operation Lotus in Puducherry on the lines of Karnataka.

After the resignation of four Congress MLAs, the Congress-led government in Puducherry has come to a minority. However, CM V Narayanasamy has expressed confidence that the four MLAs will continue in the party. He has claimed that the Congress government is not in the minority.

CM V Narayanasamy said the resignations of four MLAs, including Malladi Krishna Rao and John Kumar, have not yet been accepted. The Speaker is still considering them. He has accused the BJP of running Operation Lotus in Puducherry on the lines of Karnataka.

Congress now has only 14 MLAs

Let me tell you that Congress MLA John Kumar resigned from the membership of the assembly on Tuesday. With this, in the last month, he has become the fourth MLA who has left the MLA post. The Congress-led coalition now has 14 MLAs in the current House. With the resignation of Kumar, the number of members of Congress including the Speaker in the Assembly has been reduced to 10 members. While its ally DMK has three members and an independent member is also supporting Narayanasamy’s government. The majority figure in the House is 15.
