Jasprit Bumrah: Don’t think of me for the fourth Test, Indian bowler appeals to BCCI

The four-match Test series between India and England is currently underway. India took a 2-1 lead in the third Test of the series. The fourth Test will start on March 4.

Though the Indian team won the third Test in Ahmedabad on the strength of spinners, now before the fourth Test, India’s main fast bowler has withdrawn due to personal reasons. Jasprit Bumrah Has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to exclude him from the Indian team for the fourth Test. Jasprit Bumrah has said he will not be able to play in the fourth Test due to personal reasons.

Bumrah’s request has been granted. No other player has been included in the Indian squad in his place, the BCCI said.

The final team for the fourth Test will be selected from these players.

The first match of the four-match Test series was won by England. In the second match, India won by 317 runs to tie the series 1-1. In the third and only day-night Test, India beat England by 10 wickets on the second day to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Now, whether India wins or draws the fourth Test, Team India will advance to the final of the ICC World Test Championship.
