Businessmen and traders offers prayers to begin the year auspiciously. As per Hindu mythology Balipratipada is the day King Bali returned to earth as a reformed King. It is also celebrated as Padwa, a day to mark the love and commitment between husband and wife. Fifth day is celebrated as a Bhai Dooj, Bhathru Dwithiya, Yamadwitheya, Divvela Panduga. It is to mark the love and bonding between brothers and sisters.
