Parakram Diwas 2022: Date, Theme, History, Significance, Importance, Celebration Activities: Subhash Chandra Bose, who gave a tough competition to the British by forming the Azad Hind Fauj, was born on 23 January 1897 in a Bengali family in Cuttack, Odisha. Subhash Chandra Bose is also known as Netaji.

History

Subhas Chandra Bose, popularly known as Netaji, was born on 23 January 1897 in Odisha. He was a major revolution in the freedom movement of India. His patriotism made him a hero among the Indian people. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is recognized among the people as a great freedom fighter of India. Netaji had formed the Azad Hind Fauj for the independence of the country. Subhash Chandra Bose, who raised the slogan “You give me blood, I will give you freedom”, is still in the hearts of people. Many of his messages still fills the youth with enthusiasm.

Parakram Diwas is dedicated to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. To honor and remember Netaji’s indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation, the Government of India decided to celebrate his birthday every year as ‘Parakram Diwas’ to inspire the people of the country, especially the youth.

Celebration Activities, and everything

The Culture Ministry on Tuesday said that the government has decided to observe January 23, the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, as ‘Parakram Diwas’ every year from now on. Netaji was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack, Orissa. He was a patriot since childhood and Indian in heart and soul and he never tolerated any foreigner talking against Indians. Netaji was mostly known for his military prowess and inclination towards socialist policies. He was also the leader of the Indian National Army, which he operated from overseas against Western domination during World War II.
