Louis Braille’s birth anniversary is celebrated as World Braille Day on 04 January every year. The inventor of the Braille script, Louis Brailer was born on 04 January 1809 in France. Braille is a tactile writing system used by people who are visually impaired, including people who are blind, deafblind or who have low vision.
