Chennai at the top, Hyderabad at the bottom

After a seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has again reached the top of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chennai, with the help of half-centuries from Rituraj Gaikwad (75) and Fof Duplessis (56), played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Super Kings on Wednesday. In the 23rd match of the 14th season of IPL, Sunrisers defeated Hyderabad by seven wickets.

Hyderabad won the toss and batting first scored 171 runs for three wickets, which Chennai achieved by losing three wickets in 18.3 overs.

This is Chennai’s fifth consecutive win in six matches from Chennai and now it has again reached the top of the table with 10 points. This is Hyderabad’s fifth defeat in six matches and the team is at the bottom of the table with two points.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is at number two and Delhi Capitals at number three. Chennai has a net run rate of plus 1.475, while Bangalore has a plus of 0.089. SRH have only two points from six matches. Mumbai Indians is at number four and Kolkata Knight Riders at number five. At the same time, Punjab Kings is at number six and Rajasthan Royals is at number seven.
