In Nandigram, the Chief Minister – Trinamool Congress candidate CM Mamata Banerjee And Mamata’s one-time ally – the BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari – saw a fierce battle. In the end, Mamata Banerjee defeated Suvendu Adhikari by 1200 votes.
The Nandigram constituency election was so close that by the end of the 16th round of counting, there was only a difference of 6 votes between Trinamool candidate Mamata Banerjee and BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari.
In the West Bengal battle, the Trinamool Congress won more than 200 constituencies. However, it seems difficult for the BJP to reach the target of 100 seats.
