Kumbh Mela 2021: Enthusiasm of Mahashivaratri, First royal bath at Kumbh Mela begins in Haridwar

Devbhoomi in Haridwar, Uttarakhand Kumbh Mela 2021 The first royal bath is celebrated today on the day of Mahashivaratri. Security is also in place to control the crowds.

The akharas of the sadhus go for bathing, it is called the royal bath. Sadhus from the akharas will leave their camps at 9.00 am and reach Brahmakunda on ‘Har Ki Paundi’. The royal bath will continue till around 11.00 am. Today, the old akhada, the challenge akhada, the fire akhada, and the kinnar akhada will descend for bathing at Har Ki Pauri Brahmakunda at around 11.00 am After that Niranjani Akhada and Anand Akhada will take advantage of bathing at 1.00 pm. After that Mahanirvani Akhada and Atal Akhada will reach for bathing at 4.00 pm.

Remarkably, on the occasion of Mahashivaratri on Thursday, the general public will not be able to bathe on ‘Har Ki Paundi’.

The Kumbh Mela administration has banned the general public from bathing on ‘Har Ki Paudi’ from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. On other ghats, however, ordinary people can bathe. Other ghats are also about 9 km long for bathing. Even before 8.00 am, many devotees had arrived here for bathing.

On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath have congratulated the citizens.

More than 22 lakh devotees have bathed in Haridwar before Shahisnana. After that, the ghats were vacated for the arenas, informed Inspector General of Police Sanjay Gunjayal.

Rahul Gandhi has also wished for Mahashivaratri on social media.

The new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on the backdrop of Kumbh Mela Tirtha Singh Rawat Held his first meeting in his office on Wednesday. He gave necessary directions to the officers for the management of Haridwar Kumbh. Helicopters will also be used to shower flowers on the akhadas and saints on the occasion of Shivratri on Thursday.
