Shooting between police and liquor smugglers, death of the inspector

In Sitamarhi, Bihar, a case of the encounter between the accused of liquor smuggling and the police has come to light. The accused opened fire on the police, in which Daroga Dinesh Ram died on the way and the watchman Lalbabu was badly injured. The police gave information about this.

DSP PN Sahu told that a police team was sent to catch the liquor smugglers. As the police entered the house, the accused started firing at them. In this, an inspector and the watchman were shot. While on the way to the hospital, the policeman died but the watchman is in critical condition.

Police said that a crook was also shot in the encounter. The incident took place in the virgin village of Majorganj, Sitamarhi. Police had received information that a large consignment of liquor was being brought in Bihar through Nepal. After this, the police started the investigation. However, the police had no idea that the smugglers would have weapons.

At present, a large number of police are present at the Sadar Hospital in Sitamarhi and large police officers of Sitamarhi have also reached there. Police informed that many crooks escaped during the encounter. It is being told that a crook has also been shot but the police have not officially confirmed it.

Where this encounter took place, it is just half a kilometer away in the Indo-Nepal border. The Indo-Nepal border was sealed during the corona, although Nepal has opened the border on its side but India has still closed it.
