Raman made public his important discovery in physics on the year 1928 (Raman Effect) on 28 February, to remember his success, National Science Day is celebrated on 28 February every year in India. His invention in the field of science is known as the ‘Raman Effect. Sir CV Raman was the great physicist of India. He discovered the scattering of light on 28 February 1928. For this invention, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
