While opposition parties are missing no opportunity to surround the central government on the new agricultural laws, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has openly praised a Congress leader. In response to the motion of thanks to the President’s address to the House, PM Modi quipped on the internal quarrels of the Congress over the party leadership. While addressing the House on Monday, PM Modi also openly praised senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. The Prime Minister said that Ghulam Nabi Azad is the one who congratulated the Central Government for the successful election of the District Development Council in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Ghulam Nabi ji always speaks decently, never uses foul language. We should learn this from him, I respect him for it. He praised elections held in J&K I believe your party will take it in right spirit, & not commit mistake of doing opposite by listening to suggestions of G-23: PM

Prime Minister Modi said that Ghulam Nabi Azad is a leader who is not known for using harsh words and I believe that all the people sitting here need to learn from him. The Prime Minister said that I sincerely respect Azad for this. He said that Azad had congratulated us for holding elections in Kashmir. Prime Minister Modi said that I am thankful to Ghulam Nabi Azad for praising him and his government. PM Modi told Azad that I am confident that the people of your party will take it in the right spirit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the farmers to end the movement. PM Modi has insisted on meeting with the farmers. The Prime Minister has also sought the support of the opposition in this. Defending the three agricultural laws, the Prime Minister has said that we should give reforms a chance. Once must see if there is any benefit. If there is any deficiency then it will be corrected further. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday appealed to the Rajya Sabha, saying, “We have to take the country forward by explaining the agitators.” Let’s go together Agriculture Minister is constantly talking to farmers. And yet no tension has arisen. Efforts are on to explain the matter to each other. We are constantly praying to the people associated with the movement to end the movement and sit together and discuss.
