SSC MTS Exam or Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Exam is conducted on a national level by SSC to recruit candidates in a General Central Service,  Group C Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government in India. Candidates should be aware of the complete recruitment process before applying for the post to avoid any confusion in the future. Knowledge of the complete recruitment process will also help them in planning the preparation strategy for the exam. Along with the effective preparation strategy, the candidates should select the relevant SSC MTS Books for the best result. Around 15-20 lakhs of aspirants apply for the MTS Exam, but only a few could make it through due to high competition and lakhs of preparation strategy. Thus, we have shared below the complete recruitment process of the SSC MTS Exam to guide the candidates aspiring for the upcoming exam.

Application Form

Only the candidates who met the eligibility criteria specified in the official notification of the SSC MTS will be eligible to fill the application form for the post.  Candidates should fill in all the required details and upload the necessary documents in the MTS application form before the last date. After submitting the application form, the candidates are required to check their SSC MTS Application Status from the website to check whether their application is accepted or rejected by the concerned authority.

SSC MTS Admit Card

Only those candidates whose applications are found to be in order and provisionally accepted by the commission will be assigned roll numbers and Admit Card for appearing in the Computer Based Exam (Paper-I). Subsequently, qualified candidates will be issued an Admit Card for the next stage of the recruitment process. Candidates can download the MTS Hall Ticket for all stages of the exam from the regional website of the commission. The admit card will contain the details like name, roll number, category of the candidates and the exam center, address, etc.

SSC MTS Paper I Exam

SSC MTS Paper I is a computer-based exam and will consist of Objective-Type, Multiple Choice Questions. There will be a total of 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The overall time duration of the exam is 90 minutes. The medium of the question paper will be both English and Hindi. SSC MTS Paper I will cover four sections including General English, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC MTS Paper-II Exam

Only the candidates who qualify in the Paper I exam will be called to appear in SSC MTS Paper-II Exam. Paper-II will be of the descriptive type in Pen-Paper Mode. The MTS Paper-II will carry a total of 50 marks that need to be attempted in 30 minutes duration. In this paper, the candidates are mainly required to write a short essay or letter in English or any other language. Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature.

Result

The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC MTS Result soon after both the papers are administered successfully. On the basis of the performance of the candidates in Paper-I and clearing the cut-off marks in Paper-II, they will be shortlisted for the document verification process.

SSC MTS Document Verification Process

Only the qualified candidates will be called to appear for the document verification process along with the photocopies and original documents specified by the commission. Also, they need to carry two passport-size photos and one valid ID proof during the verification. The eligible candidates whose documents are found in order will be considered for the final selection of the post.
